Do you have what it takes to be an attorney or witness?
Are you interested in competing for a $50 gift card?
If you answered yes, you should consider participating in the Crimson Combat Advocacy Tournament on April 11th, 2021. Crimson Combat is an undergraduate mock trial competition for UA students with no prior collegiate mock trial experience. Participating students compete in teams of two with one student “attorney” and one student “witness.” Students argue short, simple, easy to understand cases presided over by current Mock Trial Association members.
No mock trial experience? No problem! The tournament is specifically designed for those who have not competed in collegiate mock trial before. Additionally, we will be holding help sessions leading up to the tournament. These help sessions will teach you everything you need to know to compete, and each session covers the same material, so you need only attend one.
This year, the tournament is taking place entirely on Zoom to accommodate for COVID-19 precautions. More information about the tournament and the help sessions will be emailed to you after you sign up.
Sign up through this form. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions!
Below is a link to materials that will help you prepare for the tournament, including our introductory presentation, a breakdown of the laws you’ll be interacting with, and a sample case just like those that will be used at the tournament.
